Temporary Materials Handler
Join our team at East River Electric Power Cooperative! We are seeking a temporary Materials Handler to join our planning and finance team.
In this role you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working directly with experienced team members on inventory and warehouse management.
You will assist in receiving, tracking, and distributing materials needed by our crews. This position is eligible to work up to 500 hours.
What You'll Accomplish
- Prepare material picks for projects and keep inventory stocked.
- Assist in inventory management by counting and keeping track of materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and materials yard.
- Cultivate positive working relationships with co-workers and others.
- Promote a strong safety culture.
Showcase Your Knowledge, Abilities, and Expertise. Do you have?
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Forklift experience (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requests / projects
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks in a team environment
Position Details
- Hourly pay rate is $17.00
- 9 / 80 work schedule, which gives you every other Friday off to encourage a work-life balance
- Desired start date is mid-June, but will depend on candidate availability
